How We Are Different
HoOp empowers individuals through expert-led workshops, real-world internships, and hands-on job shadowing -- not just job-focused mentorship. We help you discover your passion and build skills by doing, not solely talking. We also focus on just the workforce and finding a job that best suits you!
Programs
Workshops:
We provide multiple virtual themed workshops aimed to guide you through your job searching journey. These workshops will help you develop essential skills to get you ready to enter a professional career and give you the confidence needed to prepare for a job. These workshops will be facilitated by a trained professional who will give you real time advice on the workshop's focus and will be monitored by a HoOp member.
Internships:
We also connect individuals with local internship opportunities in Massachusetts. These internships can target many different career fields and allows you to choose one(s) you are interested in the most! Since HoOp is currently based in the Boston area, we are only able to list internship opportunities in Massachusetts at this time.
Job Shadowing:
Our new program connects individuals with local job shadowing opportunities in Massachusetts. Job shadowing is an amazing way to learn more about a career by getting hands on experience working alongside a trained profession. Since HoOp is currently based in the Boston area, we are only able to list job shadowing opportunities in Massachusetts at this time.
Mentorship:
Through our mentorship program, we connect users with volunteers and professionals who have experience in the workforce. These volunteers are ages 14+ who occupy a wide range of careers and jobs to help people of all ages discover their passion. You can choose your preferred mentor and booking a meeting is very easy and user friendly!
