LEAP - Unity Farm Sanctuary Fellowship

Qualifications:

Overview:
LEAP (Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and the Planet) is a revolutionary humane education program providing high school students across the nation with a compassionate alternative to traditional agriculture programs like 4H and FFA. A comprehensive multi-year program taught by participating farm animal sanctuaries, LEAP combines interactive curriculum modules with hands-on learning activities, leadership training, and real-world skill development. LEAP aims to prepare the next generation of Changemakers to tackle the challenges of animal cruelty, climate change, food deserts, and habitat loss, and encourages them to devise solutions for a more compassionate, sustainable food system.
UMass Chan - Unpaid High School Intern

Qualifications:
- High School student or recent High School graduate - Basic analytical and communication skills - Attention to detail with the ability to collect and record information from a wide variety of sources - Ability to use standard office tools and software (MS-Office) - Must be reliable and able to set consistent work hours
Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the assigned manager, the High School Intern is responsible for basic tasks to support a designated department. These tasks may be administrative or research oriented, depending on the department. For research-based departments, the High School Intern will be responsible for basic laboratory tasks. Specific job responsibilities will vary by department but may include information gathering, data entry, writing, editing and/or laboratory work. This is a temporary, non-benefitted role.
MA Life Sciences Center - Apprenticeship Challenge

Qualifications:
- At least 16 years old at the time the internship begins. - Enrolled in or have recently graduated from a school that meets at least one of the following descriptions: - Vocational technical high school as determined by Chapter 74 of the General Laws of Massachusetts or a comprehensive public high school with a life sciences Chapter 74 program. - Public high school (including charter) located in one of the following “Gateway Cities” as determined by Section 3A of Chapter 23A of the General Laws of Massachusetts: Attleboro, Barnstable, Brockton, Chelsea, Chicopee, Everett, Fall River, Fitchburg, Haverhill, Holyoke, Lawrence, Leominster, Lowell, Lynn, Malden, Methuen, New Bedford, Peabody, Pittsfield, Quincy, Revere, Salem, Springfield, Taunton, Westfield, and Worcester. - Public high school (including charter) with a student population of at least 25 percent classified as “low income” by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. - Tuition-free private school primarily serving low income/ underrepresented students. - Homeschooled residents of a “Gateway City” (as defined above) or a city/town where the public high school(s) has a student population of at least 25 percent classified as “low income” by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. OR - Enrolled in the METCO Program, a grant program funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Overview:
The High School Apprenticeship Challenge facilitates and funds internship opportunities for underrepresented and economically disadvantaged high school students throughout Massachusetts. The program connects employers with students through an online platform and provides funding to enable research institutions and small companies to hire paid interns. For select school districts, the program also offers a pre-internship laboratory training program providing rigorous biotechnology/biomedical and professional skills development.
The Education Cooperative-Internship Certificate Program

Qualifications: Students must complete at least two years of high school to qualify for the program.
Overview:
The Education Cooperative (TEC) Internship Certificate Program is a hands-on career exploration placement program supporting junior and senior high school students; and college students in the Boston Metrowest area. For over 15 years, we have developed outstanding relationships with local businesses, organizations, and public sector employers who serve as mentors for our internship students. TECs Internship Certificate Programs are UNPAID. Students may receive credit for their participation from their district school. Credit is determined by the school the student attends. Students should reach out to their counselor to ask about potential credit.

Boston Leadership Institute - 3 Week Programs

Qualifications: Our three-week programs are for students entering 8th grade through entering college.
Overview:
BLI’s three-week programs provide high-achieving students with an opportunity to explore specialized topics in-depth and gain meaningful research experience in their chosen field. Students can expect to gain research skills crucial for applying to future internships, research positions, and competitive colleges. Many of these programs have been nationally recognized with education awards and are taught by professionals who hold advanced degrees such as PhDs, MDs, and MBAs. Students seeking to attend a three-week program must apply and be accepted by our admissions team.

Veritas AI- AI Fellowship

Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Python or completion of AI scholars is required.

Tufts Medicine - Student Intern

Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program
Overview: Student intern will work under the supervision of a faculty member on a defined project in line with educational goals. Specific tasks and learning objectives will be defined by the student and faculty member.
MTA - Grassroots Campaigns Student Intern

Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled at a Massachusetts public college/university and/or be an active Student Education Association of Massachusetts (SEAM) member.
Overview: The Grassroots Campaign Division is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Grassroots Campaigns Student Intern (part-time). Our ideal candidate will coordinate the activities of the Legislative Political Action Team (LPAT) and will be responsible for the development and execution of the local and regional LPAT plans.
Mass General Dietetic Internship Program

Qualifications:
- Complete a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) with a verification statement or declaration of intent from your DPD program - Have a master's degree (completed before the start of the program OR through our affiliated graduate programs) - Enroll in DICAS online centralized internship application (instructions below) - When completing the application form, applicants must include the name and contact information (specifically an e-mail address) for each reference. This will trigger an e-mail message requesting completion of a reference form. The form will be completed online. Students submitting more than one application will need to use the same individuals as references for each application. - All references should be from persons qualified to give pertinent information. References should address your academic ability and your potential as a dietitian. We prefer a combination of academic and work references from people who know you well. - Applicants who apply to internships using DICAS will be asked to complete a personal statement - For the Mass General application, the ‘personal statement’ should be a letter of application that describes your abilities/achievements in our six criteria areas. The six criteria areas can be viewed under selection criteria and your letter of application MUST demonstrate how you meet these criteria for full consideration of acceptance to the program. The letter should also include your professional and educational goals, how you think Mass General will enable you to reach those goals and why you chose Mass General. Overview:
Mass General Orthopedic Internship

Qualifications:
All local full-time undergraduate and graduate/medical students are eligible to apply, provided they are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. International students are eligible to apply, provided they meet the J-1 visa requirements. MDs are eligible to apply, provided the meet the funding (and visa, if necessary) requirements. Funding Requirements: - If you are student, actively enrolled in an educational program, you must show a personal bank statement with at least $35,000/year - If you are an MD, no longer enrolled in an educational program, you must show proof of salary from your home institution. This amount must be at least $70,000/year to be compliant with internal policy. Please be aware, if you do not meet the above funding requirements, we will not be able to accept you into this program.
Overview:
Our orthopaedic research has led to transformational changes in patient treatments. Our faculty and staff are working on innovative research developing new materials, improving surgical techniques and designing medical devices. Our clinical research work primarily involves the study of patients who experience orthopaedic injuries and the treatments that help these patients heal from their injuries. Our basic research focuses on biomechanics, biomaterials, and translational research. Candidates should be literate in Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior coursework in statistics and computer science and a basic understanding of Microsoft Access is a plus. Past experience with clinical research is helpful but not required.
One-Year Dental Preliminary Internship

Qualifications: Must be a dental school graduate
Overview:
The Massachusetts General Hospital Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry preliminary intern is generally a candidate who did not match the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS), applied too late or did not apply for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) residency. The position is for a dental school graduate and would be credentialed at Mass General as a PGY-1 resident with all the same privileges as any other PGY-1 resident.
Sevita - Family Centered Clinician Paid Internship

Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related degree that will lead to licensure in counseling. - Completion and proof of a Master’s level practicum. - Previous experience working with children/adolescents (in a clinical or mental health setting preferred). - A valid license and reliable vehicle

Massachusetts Pirates Football is offering an opportunity to current college-level students looking to gain real-world sales experience and position themselves for a career in the Hospitality, Events, and/or Sports Industry upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide significant challenges, varying daily operational requirements, and opportunities for creativity, resourcefulness, and excellence. Our program is based on teaching the fundamentals of sales. These fundamentals include prospecting over the phone and online, setting meetings, running meetings, and closing business. Our interns help with the planning and coordination of the Mass Pirates community-related programming. Projects focus on the most current and cutting-edge future research priorities of the Department of Defense and span a variety of fields.
TurnUp Youth Activism Remote Internship

This is a great opportunity for those looking to impact change in their community, refine their activist efforts, strengthen democracy in the United States, and meet other like-minded young people! Interns will collaborate on a variety of tasks, communicate regularly, and meet virtually on a weekly basis. This is a collaborative internship where interns will develop their democratic competency. Interns participate in civic actions, organize voter registration and turnout projects in their communities, perform targeted outreach, engage in advocacy and activism, find and participate in volunteer opportunities together, attend the TurnUp Speaker Series, as well as do civic and activism related research and writing.
